The Kick-off Meeting for the EU project InLife took place in Athens, Greece from 23 to 24 November 2016. InLife aims to support various forms of Education through a versatile gamification framework, which makes use of IoT for the creation of life-based serious games.
InLife’s core concept leverages on the potential of the Internet-of-Things (IoT) paradigm to directly link actions, decisions and events happening in real-life with in-game educational progress and modern gaming technologies. This bridge between the IoT/Physical and the Virtual Worlds strengthens the infusion of gamification into non-leisure contexts, boosting the creation of new educational methodologies as well as new business opportunities.
Representatives of the 7 consortium members from the public and private sector as well as from universities and research institutions took part in the meeting. InLife is coordinated by the ICCS Institute of Communication and Computer Systems
